Hey you there! If you’ve stumbled across this site randomly, or are coming back to it from somewhere, I’d love to direct you to my new website:
I’ve decided to let go of my Other Such Things handle on here, Instagram, and Facebook too – in favour of getting a little more personal.
This is quite sentimental for me, but felt the need to make a change as my career as a photographer is growing and progressing a little faster than I anticipated it would.
I don’t really believe in a work/life balance, because I get to be one of those lucky jerks who get to LOVE their work – which, for me, is making images with a lot of heart, with a voice that is uniquely my own.
So in pursuit of being my most authentic self possible, there’ll be no more hiding behind the Other Such Things pseudonym, you just get me – Jessica Clark the photographer.
If you’d like to follow along on my journey, you can!
Here on my Website, on Facebook, or Instagram.
I love photographing people. Especially fun ones like Aimee here.
I knew it would be a fun time because we both suggested meeting up at the same cafe – if that’s not a sign, I don’t know what is. Upon meeting in person, we quickly discovered that we shared many interests – including but not limited to cats (yes plural) and Bruce Springsteen.
Aimee is a writer – a little quirky, a little wry, a lot interesting (think: a baby kawaii version of Tina Fey) (<<- my words, not hers). So she hired me to take some head shots for her that reflected that.
I also learned how to GIF – so if you stick through this blog post, there will be a fun treat for you at the end.
You can read some of Aimee’s werk here
Or follow her on that Twitter thing @aimeeknightout
After much deliberation, and internet-ing, and samples, and trips to packaging suppliers and newsagents, and god I love stationery stores, I present you with:
My new wedding packaging.
Complete with a custom engraved i-am-hip-and-with-technology USB for all your wedding images, and a selection of 8×10″ and 4×4″ prints (because it’s hip to be square duh).
These two lovers wed in November, on a beautiful old converted farm called Bungaree Station near Clare, South Australia.
Married by the bride’s father, in the most gorgeous bridal gown I have seen yet.
My bff second shot this wedding with me – my first time ever shooting a wedding with another photographer. Go team.
The best part is their gorgeous happy faces – sported all day long (well, except for that one time, when the groomsman gets stuck in the chest with a pin).
When people you do photos for become friends IRL.
I never thought that this photography gig would wind me up with so many lovely friends, but I am so happy it has.
Rose and Matt are going to make the most wonderful parents.
Okay, enough words. Picturessssss!
How stupidly beautiful is all that yellow?!
